Anna is Moved From ICU

Anna was moved from ICU into a regular room this afternoon.  It's a private room so there will be a lot less activity.  She was allowed some water and ice chips and she really enjoyed that!  She is still fighting a fever, but everything else is going very well.
Here are three pictures, from her two days in ICU and finally in her own room.

How amazing, just a few short days out of surgery and not only is she out of ICU but she's smiling. How wonderful! I am praying for your little girl.

Look at Anna's beautiful smile. What a positive little girl. I didn't realize she would need a spica cast. One tip that we appreciated when Nolan had one: use 'mole skin' around the edges---makes it so much more comfortable; doesn't rub the skin. Anyway, we found it near the foot products in the pharmacy...hope that helps. Oh---and a bean bag chair is a must once she is home!

Love to you all...

Her smile in all this is so amazing. It's great she has a private room and can see Lily now! Hope she continues to progress so well. xox Sarah

Hi Pamela and John: Smiling, smiling, smiling. Anna is so special. I am so glad she is out of surgery, out of ICU and onto a floor. Thinking of you and Anna. And, of course, Ms. Lily on her big 3rd b-day. Happy b-day Lily! Kathleen, Mia and Marika

Somehow, I knew there would be a smiling picture, only Anna would muster one in that contraption. I showed Juni her little friend FR, explaining she had an operation and was getting well now. Juni said , "that not ouchy for her, she a big girl!" well, that is good to know huh....

What you have done is a blessing for your daughter. How lucky for all of you that you both found her. Good luck through the process, the photos show how brave and special she must be.

Pam,

Again, I just wanted you to know that I am thinking of Anna (even thought I'm just now catching up on blogs). Poor little thing with her cast. I hope it doesn't bother her too much.

I loved Lily's birthday kitchen too. How cute is that? Your girls sure will have some cooking to do once Anna recovers (maybe the next Food Network star?).

Blessings,

Carey
