It's been almost exactly a year since Anna had her major surgery; the surgery that changed her life. This week she had to have surgery to remove a calcium stone from her bladder. It was successful, and she only had to spend one night in the hospital. Dr. Grady and his team at Seattle Children's Hospital did a great job again.
Anna will have two urine bags strapped to her legs for a week or so, and then she will be able go about her life as before. She's feeling a bit of discomfort but has been a real trooper during this ordeal. Her sister Lily has been helpful in keeping her spirits up since she got home. These two girls have a joyful bond that is amazing to behold.

Wow---Look at those two. What a perfect pair.
So strong and beautiful.
Thanks for sharing,

If Lily were in the movies, she would be type-casted as the "pure, innocent and loveable maiden." As for Anna, she would be the level-headed, strong, responsible beautiful elder sister. Pamela and John, don't know how you picked such a perfect pair!! Respect!! So so please that they bond like glue!!
I cannot believe what a big girl miss Lily has become! They look so natural together, just the way little sisers should be. Give the trooper and the entertainer a big hug from their friends in Texas.

Very glad Anna is well and has all of you for her support. I love to see those two girls together. Hope this is the last of her surgeries, too! Sending big hugs from Canada. xoxoxoxoxoxo Sarah
I love that picture!!!! Girls, we can't wait to see you again! Anna, you look beautiful-- even with those bags on your legs. And Lily, you look so strong and loving and amazing! Love to you both. Your friends, Mia and Marika
