The bond with the two girls gets stronger and stronger. Lily is still the more assertive personality and certainly the most creative. But Anna watches Lily's every move and is gaining confidence. She even at times takes a "big sister" role, especially when watching out for Lily's well-being.
Anna's English language skills continue to amaze us. She can carry on a conversation without missing a beat. She is also showing a knack for solving challenges such as puzzles and games. She is very observant and curious and not patient with Mommy or Daddy if we aren't quick to explain something or answer questions.
Lily is starting to show an interest in being fashionable. She likes to pick out her clothes and shoes and likes things with a bit of flair. She gestures flamboyantly at times when she is making a point, and likes to sit in her car seat, legs crossed, with her big round sun glasses perched on her nose.

Enjoyed very much the Anna and Lily update, they just make you heart sing looking at their smiling faces. Sounds like Anna is doing just great. Looking forward to seeing you all soon and renewing past friendships with our girls.

Sweet! What a fun laughter filled house yours must be every day! We have to practice being "patient" around here, too. ;) Hope your newest member is settling in nicely this week. We are looking forward to the reunion for our girls and meeting you in person.
Hi my name is Sherrie. I have an adopted daughter from China (Sep 2008) We were told that she had a maldeformed kidney and had intestinal intersusception surgery. She was 3 years old and I was shocked when we got back to the hotel and she had on a diaper and other things that I saw. Her kidney was in a horrible mess and had to be removed as soon as possible two months after we returned home. She has all the classic symptoms and physical appearence of Bladder exstrophy that was repaired (?) in China. She has a horrible scar and no belly button. My pediatrician and Uriologist say that she is just a very rare case. We have constant bladder infections and we have been cathing for almost a year. I have not met anyone else that has the same situation as me...I would love to talk to you. I want to make sure that we are doing everything possible to help my daughter and I have been told no more surgery is recommended.
